Slugfest was the description for last nights victory in Tampa. Ian Kennedy looked really impressive and needed that outing. I saw him pitch his first game of the season at Yankee Stadium last week and he really got rocked hard. It was good to see him dominate and get into his groove. Crazy that he got hit with a comeback in the seventh with a shot to the hip, otherwise he would have stood in and continued to put away Tampa hitters. Instead he left and our bullpen practically almost gives up the game. Thank God, Robbie Cano found his swing and hit the game winning pinch hit home run. Lets hope Robbie finds his swing and starts to get out of his slump. Mariano got his fourth save in fourth tries. Last year Mariano didnt get his fourth save until the end of May. A-Rod joined an elite group with his homer, Ensberg and Damon went yard as well. Lets hope we start getting into the swing of things.We have Boston coming up at Yankee Stadium and then we head on the road for 10 games. Chad Moeller made his debut yesterday behind home plate and got a hit. Things are coming along despite the problems and injuries early in the season. The key here is Kennedy got his strong outing and we look forward to big things with our youth. See everyone tomorrow. Lets Go Yankees!!!
