Cinco De Mayo, A Day Off

May 5, 2008

It’s Cinco De Mayo and the Yanks are coming off a great sweep after getting swept. Now today, a much deserved day off.

So day off thoughts?

When will Cano awaken from the dead and get going out of his slump. With Cleveland heading to town tomorrow, it would be nice to get things going against Carmona. Wishful thinking?

Giambi? How much more patience do Yankee fans have with him. After coming from Oakland it has been injuries, controversy and no production. Girardi is a big fan of jason, but how much more will jason last in the Bronx? Overpaid? I think so.

Joba? Is he really headed to the rotation this season? It’s hard to say but I would think Ohlendorf would go to the rotation before Joba. Hold on to your seatbelts, this could be fun.

Will kennedy make it back to the Bronx? This should be interesting as Rasner looked impressive yesterday after settling down in the first few innings. After last season, Rasner has been hungry and waiting to get his shot to come back and prove himself. i don’t think Kennedy is hungry. Look out for good things with Rasner.

Things need to start picking up and we need to work on this momentum we have right now. The AL East is struggling at the moment and we need to jump. For our last season in the old lady, it would be a great tribute to bring home one more title to the house that Ruth built. Then all the ghost could make there way across the street.

See you tomorrow in the Bronx.
Lets Go Yankees!!!
